CCA June 2025 Training

On Wednesday, June 11th the CT Council on Adoption, in collaboration with DCF and the UCHC Adoption Assistance Program, sponsored an inspiring and enlightening training presented by Dr. Tony Hynes, entitled Empowering Our Families: Supporting Connections in Interracial Adoptive Families. Dr. Hynes is an adult adoptee who has gained national recognition as an adoption consultant, advocate, trainer, and author of his own adoption story, The Son with Two Moms. Participants enjoyed a day of learning about adoption competency while earning NASW CEC’s and networking with colleagues and other adoptive family members, along with purchasing Dr. Hynes personally signed books.
