TAC: Training on Adoption Competency
TAC is a 72-hour, 12 session program (1 on your own, 11 virtual classes) including 6 group clinical case consultation sessions. TAC is the most rigorously evaluated competency-based training curriculum available; it earns consistently high ratings of quality and relevance. CASE Academy: Level Up Your Adoption Competency Skillset
This 3-session, 6-hour interactive course will dig into one of the most challenging yet critical areas of adoption competence: working with family systems.
From empowering parents to managing family dynamics to considerations of all children, this course will be heavy on practice with peers to increase skills and confidence as well as understanding of what to prioritize in treatment when.

The CAFAF post-licensing training module classes in our program are referred to as “Modules.” Parents participate only in the modules that will best help develop their competencies as determined during the mutual assessment process with their DCF FASU Support Worker.
CAFAF post-licensing training modules are available to any DCF/Private Agency licensed home. Private Agency licensed homes must seek out-of-pocket childcare and transportation cost reimbursement through their licensing Private Agency.
